The villa is located in one of the most popular and beautiful Crete resorts - in Tavronitis, part of the Chania Province. Just 30 mins drive from Chania Airport.
It is a warm and welcoming seaside town with around 500 residents and offers an array of amenities (bakery, super markets, hardware store, coffee shops, tavernas, flower shops, etc), which can be reached within a 10 minutes walk and remain open all year round.
Villa Theodori is one of a small group of villas surrounded by olive and fruit trees and just 5 minutes walk from Tavronitis Beach.
Access to Tavronitis is via the new highway Chania-Kastelli (exit at Tavronitis junction) as well as via the old highway that links the major coastal villages on the northwest coast of Chania.

The villa is a contemporary 3-storey house with lounge, dining area and kitchen on the top floor, and features panoramic views across Tavronitis bay to the front with the mountains to the rear. The villa is one of five beach villas built on a parcel of land on the fringe of the town area.

Walking in West Crete
- Crete, especially the West, is a walker's paradise. It has the unique combination of beautiful seas and high mountains.
- The geographical diversity and wild beauty of the island, the friendliness of its inhabitants as well as the climate are gradually making it into a choice destination for walking and hiking.
Gramvousa and Balos Bay Boat Trip
- Full day boat trip, leaving Kissamos about 10:00 am, returning 18:00 pm, but check Gramvousa Balos Cruises for details (+30 28220-243 44).
- See the phenomenon of land elevation by 6-9 meters above sea level from earthquakes 2000 year ago.
Day Trip to Paleochora
- Take the car or bus from Tavronitis to the South coastal town of Paleochora.
- The drive gives you a typical profile of the Cretan mountain backbone between the north and south coast.
- The roads are mountainous, but are enjoyable with wonderful panoramas.
Short Trips around Tavronitis
- Kolymbari, a large village at the foot of the Rodopou peninsula is still relatively unaffected by tourism. It is a 10-minute drive from Tavronitis and has several good restaurants by the harbour and seafront.
- Rodopou peninsula: visit this rugged peninsula, which extends 18 km from the coastline out into the Sea of Crete.
Samaria Gorge Walk
- One of the longest and deepest gorges in Europe set in the Samaria National Park. The park is usually open from May to the end of October and from 6:00 am to 3.00pm every day.
- Start from the Omolos Plane. The hike is then 13km downhill through the National Park and then 3 km to Agia Roumeli on the coast.
Top Ten Notes for Chania
- Visit Chania, arguably the most appealing town in Crete by bus, which is only 30minutes to the centre of town.
- Visit the lively harbour with its amazing crescent of Tavernas and cafes overlooking the water, where local boat trips can also be taken.
Nearby Villages & Citrus Groves
- Take the car from Tavronitis towards Chania along the old coast road to the town of Platanias.
- At Modi take the local road towards Patelari and Koufos.
- Visit the nearby spectacular mountain village of Alikianós.
